
How to improve my long distance running endurance?
okay.hi i'ma 14 year old freshmen female and i am trying out for the JV soccer team at my school.its a dead period right now and we have been doing conditioning 3-4 times a day for a while now.we run about 2-3 miles a day.we do sit ups and push ups and a whole bunch of other cardio workouts or whatever.
my coach noticed that i'm an excellent sprinter.i smoked everyone on the sprinting relays.the problem is that i kind of suck at long distance running.i can go two laps around our field without stopping but i go at a slow pace and kind of am at the mid-back of everyone.
how can i improve on my long distance running,endurance.go at a faster pace,and what am i lacking?

Keep doing long distance runs. Every week or so increase it a tiny bit. Eventually, you'll be able to do as many time as you like round the track without even getting out of breath. Practice on a treadmill too because it's easier to control your speed. By forcing yourself to run the same speed as the machine, you'll increase your stamina quicker.
