if my phone is unlocked?
mmaky, so i don't understand what bluetooth is for. i just got an unlocked razr, (i have cingular but i dont like their pink, i like t-mobiles magenta, so i purchased an unlocked phone) so can i still use bluetooth because the phone is unlocked? the person i bought it from said the internet doesnt work because the phone is unlocked. does that have anything to do with bluetooth? if so, how do i "lock" it back? i want ringtones and stuff like that, but my old phone had to connect to the internet to download the ringtones. i'm super confused, i want my ringtones and i want to know what the hell bluetooth is.
Bluetooth is a wireless connectivity technology.
It can be used for the obvious bluetooth earpieces, and also data transfer to and from PC's for music files on MP3 capable devices (L7 Slvr's for example, or the European V3i's)....and a number of other such things as well.
As for having a US based MEdia Net service on an unlocked phone...that won't happen unless you can find someone that can flash the phone to US Cingular firmware standards.
American phones are terminally locked in features and carrier functions when it comes to WIX (Mobile net)....Cingular has MEdia net, T-Mobile has their Hot Spot stuff, and so forth.
Can you "re-lock" it...I don't think so. It was never locked in the first place, and to have it branded you'd have to totally flash the firmware...and that's messy.
