Would the replaced LCD screen be covered under HP Laptop warranty?
Recently, I broke the LCD screen of my 10 month old laptop. Since it was under Warranty, i sent it to HP for repair assuming that they would fix it for free. Apparently not!! They basically sent it back sating that broken LCD screen is not covered under warranty. Fine. Next, I purchased & replaced the LCD screen myself (fairly easy 30 min job!!). And now laptop is back in shape.
My question is -> If I were to buy 3 year HP Accidental Damage Protection warranty, what would they cover / not cover? Would they cover this new LCD screen which I installed myself?
Also, any experiences regarding HP warranty program? It's pretty expensive; 3 years = $349.99

I would think that the accidental damage protection would have covered the screen replacement.
I am not one to usually buy a warranty with consumer electronics; however, laptops are the one exception. They get so banged-up over time that it is inevitable that they are going to fail at some point within 3 years and need service.
How much did the replacement screen cost you?
