Bluetooth Upgrade?
Does anyone knows how to upgrade the bluetooth version of a PDA or a cellphone?
'Cuz I've been looking around and I found that in order to make funtional the bluetooth chip; besides the hardware it also has firmware and software.... anyone knows how to flash the firmware or change the software to support more profiles ??
In general, you have two options.
If you have a data cable, you can probably download the update from the manufactures web page and update your phone/pda via the cable.
You can probably also go to your cell phone service provider store (AT&T store, Verizon store) get them to update your phone. Note that the store folks are not obligated to help you upgrade your firmware, so you may want to try going during a slow sales period (like daytime during the middle of the week) when they have extra time.
You may want to ask your question again, but provide specific information on the device in question. Note that your device may not have an update available. If the manufacture has a new device that they would like you to purchase, they may not be as interested in providing updates to old models.
