where can I get secret code on my Cell Phone Unlocked, so I can use it in other parts of the world?
I purchased a phone card while in Africa but could not get the Cingular Cell Phone to operate.
well, there is a way to do it. see, providers like Cingular do not like to give you unlock codes, but you can get it if you really want to.
I had T-Mobile, and of course the phone was locked to T-Mobile, so i called and asked them to give me an unlock code because i was going to another country and wanted to be able to use my phone there during my trip. they did send me the code after i answered all of their questions. you can try to do that, too, with Cingular; they should be just as helpful.
Another point is that they might not give you the code unless you have been their customer for a certain period of time (6 month i think), so just keep that in mind.
If that doesn't work, then the only other option you have is to find a dealer that would unlock it for you for 15-25 bucks (or find someone who does that on line, just be careful), but no one wants to do that because it is illegal.
